This delightful half-day excursion takes you along one of the most scenic coastal routes in the Cape, following the curve of False Bay to the historic naval town of Simon’s Town and the world-famous penguin colony at Boulders Beach. The drive itself is spectacular, hugging the coastline past the colourful beach huts of Muizenberg, the surf breaks of Kalk Bay, and the fishing harbour where seals lounge on the jetties.

At Boulders Beach, you will find yourself just metres away from a thriving colony of African Penguins, one of only a handful of places on earth where you can observe these charismatic birds in their natural habitat. Wooden boardwalks wind through the coastal fynbos and over granite boulders, giving you an intimate and unobtrusive view of the penguins as they waddle, swim, nest, and call to one another.
